Hello, yall! Today I will tell you about things you can do when you’re bored. So without further await, let’s get started.
Write a Story.
Let your imagination lead you on! Look around where you are to come up with an idea. If you don’t have any ideas then search up a prompt generator and then write on from there. You don’t have to show anyone. Remember that there is no right or wrong answer, just go with your guts and your imagination!
Write a letter.
It doesn’t always need to be just words, draw things and make the letters YOU! And write it to anyone, even if it’s a fictional character or your parents or a friend. Give/Mail it to the person for whom you wrote it, again you don’t have to do this but it would be nice to spread some love and kindness in the world. Have fun!
Give scrapbooking a try.
For this, all you need is a Scrapbook for scrapbooking and pictures to tell your story. First, come up with a theme for the scrapbook. If you have lots of pictures for that theme, go ahead and use the entire Scrapbook. But if not, you can section the Scrapbook and have a different theme for each of the sections. This way, you can revisit your past anytime you want.
Read a book.
Find a comfortable spot in the house and open a good book. It doesn’t matter if you are reading a novel or a graphic novel. Read something that will drag your life into a new one. You can also read things that you wrote like a journal or poems. If you want to you can also read with someone perhaps your friend or your parents.
Start writing in a journal or a diary.
Be sure to write the date, but after that write what you want to write in it. You can write about a book that you have been reading, things that are happening in life, feelings you are experiencing, things that you are grateful for, and lots more. The possibilities are endless! It doesn’t always need to be about your feeling or thoughts. It can be your playlist or you could even doodle. When you look back on the diary after a year or so, you’re still gonna love looking at it.
Make a gratitude list.
This one is quite simple. All you need is a piece of paper and something to write with. Look through your life and see what you are grateful for. You can write it or you can also try explaining why you are grateful for it. Also, write an event that you’re grateful for (you don’t have to). You don’t have to show it to anyone, though you can if you want to.
Play a Game
Whether it is on an electronic or a board game, it doesn’t matter. Playing games help pass the time a lot. You can also try to make up a game to play. For example, you can write a bunch of drawing prompts ( Like dogs, ice cream, a face, a person, etc ) on little pieces of paper and put them in a little bag or even in a bowl of some sort. Then you are gonna randomly pick one of them and draw it. You can even do this with a friend or two, have each person take turns to pick a prompt, and all of yall will try to draw it!
Try a coloring app online
There are lots of apps online related to art like color by number. Once you start to color a good picture you will not want to stop unlit you have completed it. And at the end, you are rewarded with a beautiful picture. You can also get a coloring book. This way you won’t be looking at a screen and you can freestyle on how the picture is gonna look. Let your imagination run wild!
Chat with a friend.
This one isn’t that hard. Just grab your phone and text them. If yall start to talk time will pass by in a snap. You can also call them. Keep in mind that you can also call multiple people at a time too, like a group call/chat.
Write a poem.
There are many types of poems that you can write like Free Verse, Haiku, Limericks, Sonnets, etc. Each one of these poems has its own rules. So before you start writing one of these poems, you will need to search up the rules for each of the poems. But then after that, it’s your choice for what you are gonna write a poem on and what format you are gonna write it in.
